REACTIVATION PROGRAMS IN PHYSICAL
AND MENTAL HEALTH

The AAPP reactivation programs encourage clients to be proactive in improving their physical endurance, their cognitive abilities, and their own self-confidence. They learn to structure their daily routine and receive psychological education to change negative thoughts that affect their daily life. These interventions are based on the PGAP approach (Progressive Goal Attainment Program), the cognitive-behavioural and rehabilitation counseling approach.

FOCUSING ON THE NEEDS OF THE CLIENT, REACTIVATION PROGRAMS ARE DISTINGUISHED BY THEIR PROACTIVE, FLEXIBLE, AND PERSONALIZED APPROACHES

TO SUCCESSFULLY RETURN TO WORK!

  • The client becomes proactive and learns to structure their daily life, to increase their level of activity
  • The program includes weekly one-on-one meetings
  • Tracking is flexible: at the clinic, at work, or at home
  • The approach is cognitive-behavioral
«It is estimated that in 2012, the decline in participation in the mental illness-related labour market represented a loss of nearly 21 billion dollars of domestic gross product in Canada.»
